Stuff like... You don't know what I can do to him and something like. [ Squints. ] Why would I want to be reminded of my failures? He seemed really out of it and I wonder if it's because of the weekly effect.

[ Gojou is like. Somewhat sympathetic because they went on such a wild ride.

However, clown is super shady. ]

That's true... Did you notice him acting weird around you yesterday? At all? Even before curfew.

[ Gojou frowns since despite the weird conversation he had with them, he does like Douman to some degree. More that there's a part of him that latches onto things he sees in them.

Also, don't mind if he checks Omi for injuries. Just cause clown at the food, doesn't mean they didn't maybe struggle after. ]

[ His arms have some nail marks after Douman struggled and Omi couldn't get far enough away. ]

I don't know if you remember any of that.

[ There's also a bruise on his throat, but that was from Gojou. ]

... It would be too suspicious to heal up. Nail marks shouldn't be too bad—if anything, we can say I made them.

[ Mmf. But wouldn't it be better to be honest? Gojou closes his eyes. ]

Medb's really attached to him, too, so that's another issue if they figure it all out.

I'm usually covered in scratches and bites. It would be weird if I wasn't.

[ The marks are usually on his back, not his forearms.

Are they really doing this? They're going to lie about it?

Who's going to be hurt if they are? Is the group going to throw somebody else under the bus? ]

[ He doesn't like the idea of scapegoating someone, either. It just doesn't sit well. ]

We can probably talk to the justice hounds here and see if they're willing to figure something out. Douman was not... So friendly on the trip we went on, so I think they'll be keen on the fact he's gone.

[ Gojou doesn't think it's bad since he also thought gramps was going off the deep end. ]

[ Is that what Gojou's been calling the officers? Somehow he's not surprised, even if he does repeat it back. ]

[ The real answer is no. He took it from Mahito kind of, but yes. Gojou thinks of them as that, but he doesn't mean it as a derogatory term. He pats Omi's shoulder. ]

We'll figure something out, let's go talk to Mineo and Sasazuka.

[ Cause Gojou knows they're Real cops. ]

[ He's going to take Gojou's hand in his, if he lets him. He's stressed and he doesn't want to die. Even if he thinks it's impeding, at least he can hold Gojou's hand through this. A tiny bit of stability he desperately needs right now. ]

Yeah, it'll be all right!

[ He takes his hands and interlaces their fingers, giving it a firm squeeze. Tugging him along, he gives the necessary people a text. ]

They're normies, too, so they should be sympathetic.

[ He squeezes Gojou's hand, trying to reassure himself. Easy to follow where he's lead, at least.

Will it actually be alright? He'd definitely like to believe it. ]

They will, but I don't know if everyone will. For now, you can stay quiet about it for now.

[ at least until they talk to the normies and their friends. They have good heads on their shoulders, he hopes?

And they can fast-forward where for some reason Law takes the fall for it??? Like, purposely takes credit. Gojou isn't happy about it, but... Rip. ]

[Omi was not that close to Law. He doesn't like the idea of him taking the blame for something he didn't do.

Now he's standing in front of Gojou's door. Just waiting for him to come back.]

[ Gojou was also not close to Law, but he respected him... So of course, he also visited the guy in his jail, asking him questions because he didn't need to do that. In the end, the answer is the same. It's for Steven.

After the talk, he comes back. ]

You could have waited in your room, y'know.

[ He pats Omi's arm. ]

[But he didn't... Douman might have tried to kill him, but the room still feels emptier than he's used to. It's been something like three years since he's had to be alone.

And tonight he really doesn't want to be.]

I don't really mind waiting.

It must be hard to sleep in that room, I guess.

[ Gojou would have been able to, but he's used to crazies? However, he does have issue sleeping alone now. He opens the door for him and leads him in. ]

You're not hungry? I took some snacks from the kitchen.

[ He steps into the room.

[ Gojou looks through the mini kitchen and gives Omi a bag of popcorn. That is yours now. ]

Don't feel too guilty about what happened.

He was trying to kill me...

[ Maybe he should be feeling more guilt than he is. It's been years since he would be willing to give up his life for somebody else's. Douman's not the person he would give it up for anyway. ]

[ He steals some popcorn! Trying to make this a comfortable interaction as possible after something awful had to be done. ]

In that situation, it was you or him. He could have not tried to poison you.

[ It's a bad situation any way he looks at it. ]

Is it bad to say I don't regret using the curse?

I don't think so. Honestly, Evil Douman being here is a problem in itself. His history... Is not that clean.

[ Gojou knows enough about Douman in history, as much as he wants to think otherwise, and in the end sees this for the best. They were becoming a threat, especially after the trip. ]

Eventually, he would have killed, anyway.
